Pembridge Show has been running since 1940 when it began as part of the “Dig for Victory” campaign. Originally held in the village hall, it comprised just tables of vegetables, which were judged and awarded prizes with the hope of encouraging others to grow their own.

Over the years the show has added gymkhana, show jumping and showing, a dog show and the popular trotting races. The original vegetable classes have expanded to fill a large marquee with over 103 exhibits and includes cookery, crafts, flower arranging and childrens classes.
